Me and Ava have tickets to see Imogen Heap this weekend. Imogen Heap was formerly one half of the duo Frou Frou.
She is touring with this guy called Kid Beyond, from San Francisco. To get a feel for his performance, take a look at the video he made for ableton.com

My lovely bride and I just saw this movie yesterday evening. I would highly recommend it. Perhaps, for me, the most compelling argument of the film is that climate change is a profoundly moral issue. How can those of us nominally “in power” at this point in time, refuse to take action that could potentially lead to disastrous consequences for our children and grandchildren?

Arrgh! I’ve been struggling with a problem with Logic Pro and finally got it to work last night. After upgrading to version 7.2 (and actually prior to that to some extent), the program refused to start, claiming that the demo period had expired–even though I had the EXS key dutifully ensconced in the USB port. On startup, I would get an error message stating that the EXSKey.kext file was corrupt or some such nonsense. Well, it took a while for my single remaining braincell to realize that .kext is a different animal from .ext. .kext refers to a “kernal extension” while .ext refers to an extension file, the only information for which referred to OS9 and below. Well, once that was straightened out, I was able to find the source of the problem: I needed to update the EXS key, yet again. (I had done so previously on a number of occasions. But with the update to 7.2.1, I needed to do it again. I also moved the EXS key to a new location, behind the monitor. These two items seemed to do the trick. Also, the Tranzport immediately connected and showed up on top when the autoload file finally appeared.
Thank heaven for small victories. Now if I could just get my CPU upgrade installed.
Here it is, the 18th of May, 2006, and I finally feel like I am settling in with this whole html/blogging thing. Got my chops exercised on the whole textedit thing (something that I least suspicioned, but worked out best.).
If only I could get the Upload function to work.
Or so I hope. I’ve been bogged down with work and such, but there’s no time like the present.
Oh, and here’s a picture:
